Federica Ariemma was born in Naples, a city that has deeply influenced the way she sees the world and shaped her visual sensitivity. Today she lives in Puglia, where she founded LomonteAriemma Studio with her husband.
She didn’t start out as a photographer. After nine years of study and three degrees in a completely different field, she discovered photography almost by chance and decided to leave everything behind to pursue this path.
Her work is driven by a constant aesthetic exploration. She is drawn to minimalism, obsessed with composition and with seemingly empty spaces that are, in fact, filled with atmosphere and emotion.
She loves documenting weddings without being noticed, simply observing and allowing things to happen naturally, without staging or forcing moments. She believes reality already holds everything a photograph needs.
Over more than ten years, her work has received numerous international awards, placing her in the world's Top 10 rankings of some of the most prestigious international wedding photography associations.
